Access, parking and visiting the village

Brancion is located in Southern Burgundy, in Saône-et-Loire, between Tournus, Cluny and Mâcon. The medieval village is mainly explored on foot in order to preserve the character of the site.

A large visitor car park is available at the entrance to the village, making it easy to park before walking to the lanes, castle, church and viewpoints.

  • Village access: mainly on foot from the car park.
  • Exceptions: access is possible for people with reduced mobility, as well as for guests staying at the gîte or the auberge.
  • Tip: wear comfortable shoes, as the old lanes are slightly steep.
